What platforms can I play the Community Playtest on?
The Community Playtest will be on PC only through Steam.
Sit tight! Additional platforms may be added to future playtests.
What countries will be eligible to participate?
The Project ETHOS Community Playtest is restricted to players in the following countries:
- US
- Canada
- Mexico
- UK
- Ireland
- France
- Germany
- Spain
- Italy
These restrictions exist to ensure the best possible experience for participants due to their proximity to active game servers. It’s all in the name of ensuring players have a good time.
More countries may be added in the future. Stay tuned.
What are the required PC specs to play?
Keep in mind, the Community Playtest is pre-launch software and not fully optimized. So if you push it and your machine doesn’t meet or exceed the following specs, your game experience will be degraded - potentially critically. If it does not meet this standard, it is strongly recommended you do not participate.

- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 3060 or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT
- 8 GB Dedicated VRAM
- DirectX: DX12 Feature Level 12.0

How can I gain access to the Community Playtest?
The only way to participate in the Community Playtest is to access it through Twitch, but getting in is easy! Just complete a Twitch Drop on one of the Project ETHOS Partner creator streams, subscribe to marketing, and you’re set.
How do I gain access to future play opportunities?
Simply go to the Project ETHOS website, click the “SIGN UP NOW” button and complete the required steps. Once complete, you will be eligible for access for future playtest opportunities.
Please note that registration does not guarantee access.
And remember, you can also gain access through Twitch Drops while any playtest is live.
When will the Community Playtest be active?
The servers will be open for the Project ETHOS Community Playtest as follows:
North American Countries
- October 17th: 9 AM – 11 PM PT
- October 18th-20th: 11 AM – 11 PM PT
European Countries
- October 17th: 5 PM - 1 AM GMT+1
- October 18th-21st: 1 PM - 1 AM GMT+1
If I get access to the Community Playtest, do I need to register for future Playtests too?
No, once you gain access to a Playtest you automatically gain access to all future Project ETHOS playtests. Nice!
If I don’t get access to the Community Playtest will I need to register again for future Playtests?
No, your registration rolls over for all future Project ETHOS playtest opportunities.
I happened to get an extra Steam Key, can I sell it?
Keys are NOT FOR RESALE. Doing so will result in the key being revoked and the associated 2K Account being banned.
